I was about to post a thread about the sunrise being an hour earlier than two days ago and wanted someone to explain this to me..

And then i spotted another mn thread about the clocks changing! Omg I can't believe it. I was sure it was next week!

The funny thing is we were planning a walk up to the beach to watch the sunrise and when I woke up I was thinking it was a lot lighter than I expected it to be 😂😂

Exactly..I mean I'm 38 and never forgotten before. I have two young kids and really enjoyed the extra time. I'm so surprised they'd slept longer today. I actually felt revived when I woke up!

The worst was when the clocks went forward an hour and our minister didn't realise. She was poodling around, thinking about breakfast and getting dressed when the parish warden knocked her door to say they were waiting for her to start the church service...

I seem to remember it wasn't uncommon for people to turn up to church an hour early or late when the clocks changed, and occasionally two if they'd got really muddled.
Mind you, you'd think a bunch of scientific software developers could keep track...most of the team is in California, the US daylight savings begins earlier in spring and continues later into autumn than Europe, so there's a week when the normal 8 hour time difference is out by an hour one way or the other. It's surprisingly hard to work out who needs to change a time of a meeting which way. On one occasion my boss called me for a meeting two hours early!
