Help with a physics question…

Physics is just not my strong suit! But I know there’ll be loads of physics whizz MNers

What force must I apply to an object with a mass of 3kg to accelerate it 4m/s squared on a horizontal surface if

a) there’s no friction
b) there is a friction of 4N

Use Force = mass X acceleration

The second part needs you to include extra force of 4N to overcome the friction.

Thank you @EducatingArti
So 12N and 16N

1N = 1 kg accelerated at 1m per second2
