Why have they changed the National Rail app?

On Live Trains page I can see all trains leaving my local station now and at any time. So including one leaving in 2mins and including trains to all stations.

On Plan a Journey you have to give destination and it has to be after next 15min mark. So @MrSeptember are you sure you’re looking at the right page?!

I am convinced there's a problem in my version of the app. Am in android and it's often worse!!! Its the "live trains" page that's been driving me the most crazy as it's not useful anymore. Going to check for updates and/or hope one comes out soon.

I think it has been made more crap on purpose to limit delay repay. I used to check the app to see exactly how late my train had been, now you can't see infornation on trains that have arrived or even for the one you are on to see how late it is!

This is what I thought but there are websites you can go to check. Not as easy and very frustrating.

I'm with you all. It's absolutely rubbish. Thanks for the tips on other apps, will check them out.

I'm glad it's not me! I used the National Rail app all the time whilst I was working and it was great but since they've changed it it's been crap. I've now got the Railboard app which is much better.

They have a whole bunch of 1* reviews on Google Play for the app update. App rating is 1.1 stars - ouch.

Railboard is only iPhone and I have an android.

Downloaded Trainline, it's certainly better than the current National Rail . I think it's the white background I don't like.

Okay, I don't know if the app updated or fixed a fault, but the "live trains" is working now and no longer insisting on me providing an end destination, or only giving me the train after every quarter hour. I realised that before, whether I clicked on "plan a journey" or "live trains" I was getting the same screen I think.
