I tried this today for the first time having seen this thread and not knowing what the word cemantle was, curious I clicked on it. I have no idea what I am doing with this game. Remarkably this in my result and I found the word god knows how. Tomorrow I'd be interested in posting my actual words if that is ok (you get a new word tomorrow right?) in the hope that someone could talk me through what happened as I have no idea.

I read the instructions and the blurb but it seemed very odd to me that some words were colder. Now I know the answer I am more perplexed why some were colder when I'd have thought they were hotter given the final answer. Plus I have no idea what the target post was about above or the references to Greys Anatomy which have nothing to do with the final word it told me was the answer today. Help!

So many words have more than one meaning, so you might not think they're in any way related to the target word (or one another), but they make perfect sense in somebody else's head. Like the target today; the more guesses you have, the easier it is to see the train of thought.

It's a game where you need to think of synonyms/phrases/lateral connections.

Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's a bit tricky, sometimes (like earlier this week when the answer was "graham" in the sense of a type of cracker rather than a proper noun - although there's some debate about whether that's legit!) it's downright ridiculously annoying and almost impossible!

But, we keep trying because it's there and is such fun when you finally get the word!
