I adore him but omg his behaviour. He cries constantly. Every morning he has his first tantrum before he's even walked down the stairs and it continues in that vein and I've had enough of it. He's been like this since just before he turned two and he's three in December so I really thought we'd be past it by now.

We've just brought a new baby home and he cries more than she does. I would excuse his behaviour and assume it was because of the new addition except he's been behaving like this since before I even got pregnant!

Please tell me it ends...DD did go through a tantrum phase but it was more like once or twice a week and only lasted a few months. I try and be kind and understanding with him but I am running out of patience.

Did it improve since? I only have one and turned 3 two days back. Tantrums on and off, mostly if he can not play with another child's toys, leaving playground or been told he can not watch something(very limited what he is allowed to watch and how long). I think it's just that emotional they can not handle yet and I believe it hits more boys than girls at this age. If it gets severe there could be some underlying health conditions, that you might need to discuss with your GP. I took mine as one of my doctors said if I notice he might be ADHD, but since I asked on every appointment(cause we have different GPs in our practice)if they suspect something and they alwats told me, he is a very active toddler. Though yes it will happen that he will cry every day, but can be distracted.

He has improved...he still has his moments but it's not quite so frequent and he is becoming more reasonable. I don't think he has ADHD, he's just very emotional.
