Where should dc stay if visiting Wembley?

The teenagers have booked tickets for Wembley stadium on Saturday 30th November. The best (cheapest) way to get them there is a train to King Cross on the Friday 29th, returning on Sunday 1st.

I'm not familiar with London at all so I'm finding it hard knowing which sort of locations would work for accommodation. The match starts at 5.30pm so it won't be too late a finish to be jumping on a tube to wherever they are staying I guess, and the train times in and out of London are not too bad either.

Would you stay near Wembley or be more central? Any recommendations for cheapish places to stay?
Thank you.

Not sure about accommodations as such but if affordable for them maybe locations on the metropolitan line a bit further out such as Hillingdon/Ruslip etc. I see many football fans coming out at these stations to stay in these areas when there are big games in Wembley. I wouldn't recommend staying in Wembley.

I can't help answer your question - but just so they know, it kicks off at 5,20, not 5,30 Smile

Travelodge London Harrow is just 2 stops from Wembley on the underground. We stayed there for Taylor Swift.

We went to an event at Wembley last year and stayed at the Travelodge Euston (Grafton Place). We got the Metropolitan line there and back. Worked well for us.

What do they plan to do for the rest of their time given the match is only 2 hours out of the whole weekend ? They may be better staying more centrally if they want to do some tourist stuff.

Definitely central, teenagers won’t want to be hanging around in Harrow! Kings Cross is fun in the evening, lots of food places and bars.
