Bad breakout on DDs face

DD has always had fairly good skin. She is very resistant to any kind of skin routine though and the only thing she will do is put sudacreme on the odd spot.

Her skin on her chin had become dry lately, probably because of the weather, and she put some simple face cream on it. Last night her chin has erupted into loads of tiny painful pimples and very red. It still looks very dry as well.

I don’t know if it’s a reaction. I really need to go buy something to help it as she says it’s incredibly painful to talk.

Any advice what to put on it. She’s sat with sudacreme on it just now.

How old is she? When you say no skin routine, do you mean she doesn't even use a cleanser to clean her skin? I would buy her cerave cleanser and moisturiser at a minimum and encourage her to do this twice a day. Very good for teenage skin.

It could be a reaction although simple is usually pretty good.

I'd use this.

My dd has a lot of allergies to chemicals in things like washing powder and shampoo.

16, I ended up sending a photo to the docs and they called her straight in.
They think it’s an allergic reaction and we have some cream coming but if it doesn’t improve we will need steroids. But they wanted to check it wasn’t shingles etc.

I need to find a cream that doesn’t cause any further reactions. Yes I have told her she needs to start doing something for her skin, she’s autistic and doesn’t like the smells in washes and things. We had nip and fab but she didn’t like the smells in it.

Sudacrem on spots can go one of two ways - either it works miracles or makes things ten times worse.

When my dd was tested she had one hundred and something allergens, all chemicals-no food, on her back. She's allergic to about ten things so it's not so bad.

It's actually not too difficult to find things that have no fragrance once you start although it seems completely overwhelming at first.

One of the things my dd reacts to is something called 'fragrance mix one' so a lot of things that have a fragrance she can't use.

We use a washing liquid and softener called Miniml now and last weekend she had a sleepover and we didn't much think of the allergies and she came home with a red swollen face.

She also uses Faith in Nature conditioner, there's a fragrance free one, that I get in TKMaxx. It's got so few ingredients compared to the stuff she was using before. And simple soap she uses.

When she had the patch test she took in some of the products she uses and they tested those too.
