Mirena - how long does it last?

Hello, I had a Mirena put in 6 years ago (late 2018). Does anyone know if it will be good another year - for both contraception and hormonal benefits? I know there were some recent changes to regulations and how often they need changing etc. I'm 45 so want the small dose of progesterone as well as contraceptive benefits. Trying to contact GP but as usual impossible to get through! Many thanks

NHS website states that if you want it for hormonal benefit it needs to be replaced every 5 years.

From the website:

An IUS is effective for 3 to 8 years, depending on the type.

If you're using an IUS as part of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopause, it needs to be replaced every 5 years.

Update to NHS Fife says that it can be used for 8 years for contraception but 5 for HRT.
