Ever Slept With A Famous Person

Boxofstars · 05/10/2024 02:51

Has anyone slept with or didnt know it was a famous person?.

I met Noel Gallagher in 21 piccadilly nightclub in Manchester I was 16..
I had no idea he was to become famous just a few months later.

He bought me and my friend a drink and we chatted.
His brother was with him no not the annoying twerp Liam the nicer shyer one.
He asked if i wanted to go back to his place for a drink.

We walked to a big apartment block where he had a one bed flat and we watched tellly and chatted.
He wasnt pushy or full of himself at all and seemed grounded.
We did snog and whatever but i never do it on the first night so no we didnt have sex.
He was between jobs then and told me he was doing a gig with his brother and band at the Hippodrome in Middleton i lived in Midd back then.
I went along and wow they were paid a fiver each by the clubs owner.
I teashed him about his brows and told him to get his barber to trim them.
To think of how little he had then to what he has now.

Also year 10 is 14/15…

I was out clubbing in Sheffield at this age. As were most of the girls in my year.

It's interesting the different experiences.

I grew up in a small town.

There is no way the nightclubs would let us in if we were under 18.

They would get fined and shut down if they did. They were extremely strict.

I was never ID’d until 2005, which was coincidentally the year I turned 18. I was ID’d every time after that. However, as I say, being ID’d just wasn’t a thing until then.

A couple of pubs would serve you even if you were wearing school uniform.

Wow! That's not legal.

It was so different where I grew up. I'd get ID'd every single time. They were really big into not allowing underage drinking.

Maybe it Was better and more responsible In some ways, to not let us in until i was 18?

As I didn't have old men perving over me when I was 16 then.

Anyone else remember the scandal of Bill Wyman and Mandy Smith?

It sounds ridiculous now but it really wasent uncommon for 14/15 year old to frequent pubs back in 80,s when I was a teen.

OK I was a 15 in the late nineties, so I think they had started to take underage drinking a bit more seriously then maybe.

I mean its nice in one way that you had the freedom to go in.

But thinking of safety, it was extremely irresponsible of those pubs /nightclubs to let 14 year old children drink with grown men around.

It's a perverts dream.

I remember reading one book about the rolling stones. I think they were big in the 1970s, and the author said that the band were drinking with 14 year old girls.

They used to call them "baby groupies"

I’m the same age as you and I was out drinking in clubs from 13/14. I didn’t get id’d until my late twenties.

I do. And it's one of the reasons I hate celebrity culture. So many of his friends (and presumably family) would have watched him taking advantage of that beautiful young girl and none of them seemed to have stepped in to help her - not even her own star-struck mum who ended up with his son, I believe.

I was young myself when he was with her, but I remember thinking of him as a dirty old man. So, the idea that it was accepted in those days is bs.

Smith has gone Christian and still seems to suffer both mentally and physically as a result of that relationship.

She was, (unsurprisingly), quite damaged by the whole episode. She was 13 when they met, he was 47. Not exactly a meeting of equals.

Aged 13 in a nightclub?

How Is that possible!.

I'm the same age as you

I've been in nightclubs many many times in my twenties and thirties. I've never seen any thirteen year old in a night club. Ever.

And I see bouncers ID'ing everyone that goes in.

MadeleineMummy · 07/10/2024 15:03

I grew up in the sticks. My parents would send me to the local pub with a flagon to get some ale for Sunday lunch, so the publican and his wife knew me from the age of 8 (they also knew me as the alter server then thurifer from church) and they served me despite knowing my age. They gave me a lemon and lime for my troubles and when I was 14/15 would serve me a small glass of shandy. Those were different times for drinking.

NerrSnerr · 07/10/2024 15:33

@Roundthemoon I was born in 1982 so a teenager in the 90s and teenagers definitely went clubbing in Hull where I was brought up. I even went clubbing with my mum at age 14 with our hockey club. About 5 of us were 16 or under. We only got kicked out in the end because one of the girls who was my age ended up kissing a guy and when someone told him her age it got very ugly. The horrific thing is her mum was out with us too!

Kids in school would go clubbing before GCSE age and see teachers out in clubs.

I was only allowed to go to the local gay club and goth club before I was 18 (apart from the hockey team experience)

I was chatted up by Jeremy Clarkson in a pub in Notting Hill. His gf was sitting at the bar and looked pissed off but not as pissed off as me - sleazy old roach. He even followed me out. Bumped into him later and he said “is this fate?” Hell no.

I'm always astonished that he attracts such lovely women. I'm told he smells like a heavy smoker.

My god that was horrific! It was all over the papers at the time, and no one did anything about it. Shocking. Poor girl later related that she slept with him when she was 14.
Sick old bastard.

Ugh. Quite how he got away with grooming a 13yo baffles me. Disgusting old man. Yet he was treated like some kind of hero for having a young gorgeous girl on his arm 🤢🤢🤢

I do think that maybe you lived in quite a sheltered place because it was completely normal to start going out bars/ pubs/ nightclubs when you turned 14/ 15 as has been confirmed by the majority of replies.

I wouldn't say that three - four posters saying it happened, means that It happened everywhere!

It certainly happened for some people. I'd say maybe especially if the pub owners knew their family - they'd turn a blind eye towards the age.

So you're saying its normal.

Do you see 13/14/14 year olds in nightclubs now then?

Because I never see them

Doesn't mean that it happened everywhere in the UK.

My friend hooked up with Tom Hiddleston at a party when they were both 17/18. Apparently he is an excellent kisser with very large hands. I've never seen him since without thinking about it!
