What would you like for your 50th birthday?

It's my sister's birthday soon and I am drawing a blank on what to get her.

We have a big family with lots of children who now have children. A few years ago we collectively decided to not give presents to the adults any longer for Christmas or birthdays except for big birthdays.

The general spend is £30-£50. She's into alternative therapies/crystals/candles, walking, nature, not a big drinker but likes the odd tipple, nice food. Don't think she's much of a reader. Just bought her first house.

Does anything spring to mind or is there something you got or wished you had got as a special gift?

A bit of a cliche, but a nice piece of jewellery?

If not, how about some decent water bottles/coffee cups, like Sho or Chilly's so that she can take her drinks out while walking.

A birdbox with built-in camera for her garden? Binoculars?

There's endless stuff to buy in the crystal/candle market. Could you go to one of those type of shops and ask what they have that's special? Maybe a crystal for housewarming or something?!

I don't fancy going with jewellery as I'm sure she'll get some and my budget won't stretch to anything too special.

I do however like the idea of the birdbox with a camera, or just a wildlife camera for her garden. Their garden is quite big and they've already done a lot in it so I think this would go down well.

The cup idea is also good.

I have a crystal shop not far from me so that's a good shout!

I got a divorce for mine. I can recommend it (but it’s a bit out of your budget, lol).

I have a few kimonos, scarves and throwovers from One Hundred Stars.
They're not cheap but they're beautiful.

They are beautiful. Might be a treat for me!

What about a holistic treatment? There's so many.

The wildlife camera idea is AMAZING! I'd go with this one because it's absolutely something that takes her interests under consideration. If she's interested in wildlife photography or in photography in general, you can also get her a subscription to one of the slideshow makers for Windows (assuming she uses Windows) so that she could make videos with photos she takes.
