I was in a taxi. He said you look really happy don't you sarcastically. I said oh maybe I look tired and I wish I had just said well I'm not really happy why would I be. This makes me really angry I hate these stupid men that do this. It's just insulting, I just looked normal

I had that a few years ago walking down a street in south London, the man said something like “smile, it may never happen” and I automatically smiled which I totally regret. The problem is men can be so abusive sometimes it just feels safer. He sounded a bit hostile initially too.

He then had the nerve to say something patronising like “wow you look so much nicer now” which was a backhanded complimented as well as sexist.

Does every random women have to be easy on the eyes to him ? If I looked “less nice” before what business was that of his?

On another occasion I was told to smile on the tube by some guy and I came up with a sharp retort, can’t remember what I said but I put him in his place.

It’s insensitive, intrusive and disrespectful! Who do they think they are ? None of the men I have in my life would behave like that towards women. I don’t understand men like that.
