I currently work in a school part time (3 days a week)

i reduced my days when having children. My eldest is now in school full time, my youngest currently gets 15 hours funded. She is in nursery 1 full day and half a day. (she could be there 2 full days) my mum has her the other days

I was considering working an extra day and I would send her to nursery for the day instead of the few hours she does.

If i returned the extra day, i was thinking of reducing my hours, but unsure if I would then be worse of (my brain isn't mathing well at the moment 😂)
my currents hours are 8.30 - 4.20pm 3 days a week

I was thinking of doing 4 days a week 8.30- 3.45 or 3.50. the reason I would need to reduce these hours is so I can still collect my child from nursery
will i be much better of by doing this extra day if im reducing the hours a little each day?

You just need to do the maths. We don't know your salary or nursery costs, but it's unlikely to be cost effective if you work in a school (so presumably not much above min wage) to incur more childcare costs.

@forensicsnail i will not have to pay any childcare costs at she gets 15 hours and I will only be sending her 15 hours, the only fee in nursery would be her lunch

@forensicsnail i have alternative childcare on the other 2 days that I would be at work, and the 1 day I have of she will be with me
