Hello

Staying near Buxton in March next year and wondered if anyone has any ideas of things we can't miss, hidden gems, places to eat etc. So far on our list is Poole's cavern and walk up to Solomon's Temple (anywhere good to eat nearby?) and Biddulph Grange to make use of out NT passes.

Also likes the look of Lud's church but the roads to it look quite narrow which I'm not a fan of.

Many thanks 😊

Chatsworth is well worth a visit.
Bakewell for Bakewell pudding (not tart!)

I like to have a walk around Eyam. I know that the plague story may well be a myth from what I've read but I find it interesting.

Get the train down to New Mills and have a walk along the Millennium Walkway in the Torrs, a riverside park under the town, followed by a cocktail (or a coffee) at the Torr Vale Tap, in a converted mill.

Bakewell on a Monday, excellent street market and the livestock sales at the auction mart. Good to see all the animals being sold.

I live near New Mills. Walk the Sett Valley Trail to Hayfield. From Hayfield you can walk up Kinder Scout and see Kinder Downfall (waterfall). It's also where the mass trespass took place from. I recommend Marmalade Coffee Shop in Hayfield for brunch or coffee and cake. In New Mills, the Beer Shed is a micro brewery with a long, narrow pub on Market Street.

These all sound fantastic, thank you all very much 😊
