Quite a big price difference. Has anyone compared these? There are such varied reviews for them!

I have had my Lakeland one for over 20 years and it is still going strong. (I don't know anything about the JL one, but I don't shop there anyway).

Don’t know about the JL one, but I’ve recently bought one from Lakeland and I’m really happy with it. I’ve got the cover for it as well and that really speeds up the drying time.

Jalexia · 27/09/2024 20:04

Yes very happy with my Lakeland one. I chose it over the JL one last year.

MrsApplepants · 27/09/2024 20:07

I got a Lakeland one it’s brilliant

mynameiscalypso · 27/09/2024 20:08

I have the JL one. It's fine in terms of drying but it's not very well made at all.

starpatch · 27/09/2024 20:08

Have had my lakeland one 10 years and still in full working order.

adler1 · 27/09/2024 20:12

We've had our Argos one 3 years. Pair it with a dehumidifier and we can dry washing in 6-8 hours!

I don't always use the dehumidifier, only if I need things dry super quick.

DGPP · 27/09/2024 20:26

i love my JL one, got it on sale and finding it fine

confusedlots · 27/09/2024 20:42

I love my Lakeland one, in fact I have 2 - the smaller one and the larger one! It's a game changer! You definitely need to buy the covers though.

Superhansrantowindsor · 27/09/2024 20:44

I’ve got a Lakeland one and must be doing something wrong because it’s not lived up to expectations. I’m saving for a dehumidifier but wish I’d got one before I got the airer.

Lakeland. The customer service is top banana so I'd choose theirs

MagentaRavioli · 27/09/2024 21:01

I love my Lakeland one. You need to buy the cover though!

I put a large tablecloth over mine and secure the sides with a couple of clothes pegs. It works a treat.

Another vote for a Lakeland one. I have the large 3 tier, and it is in full use today having been on holiday and having a backlog of washing. Mine is about 6 years old and still in great use. Even in summer when I dry washing outside I often pop the folded clothes on to air for an hour. Love it.

NellietheNumpty · 27/09/2024 21:11

The Lakeland ones were on a special offer when I went by earlier in the week.

Redglitter · 27/09/2024 21:13

Which ones are people buying. I bought one and it was rubbish. Only heated the bits of the clothes on the bars

Memom · 27/09/2024 21:17

Another vote for Lakeland one, had it 12 years. I have a very large bath sheet over it and never had any issues. Would buy the same again.

HoppityBun · 27/09/2024 21:18

I have the Lakeland 3 tier one and I love it. I’ve had it a couple of years and before that I had the earlier model that didn’t have a timer.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 27/09/2024 21:21

I have the Jl 3 tier, and it works great with a large sheet over the top.

Growlybear83 · 27/09/2024 21:21

I've had the John Lewis airer for several years and have found it amazing. I don't know about the Lakeland one, but I like the way the JL airer folds flat so easily and hardly takes up any storage space.

CatChant · 27/09/2024 21:21

My Lakeland heated airer has been going for about 16 years now. It was great for cloth nappies, was a godsend for DD at university, and is still invaluable for delicate items that can’t be spun fast and have to dry flat.

I don’t have a cover but DD used to drape a sheet over it and found it very effective at speeding up the drying time.

Mine is a two-tier. I wish I had bought a three-tier model but they were sold out at the time and I really needed something for the nappies.

TheTecknician · 27/09/2024 21:54

I too have an Argos heated airer, which looks similar to a Lakeland model. I've had it for about 10 months, cost just over £100 and I'm very happy with it.

Mum5net · 27/09/2024 21:57

I bought mine on eBay from the eBay Lakeland store - refurbished. Much cheaper
