Can you use Thule Chariot as running buggy as well as bike trailer

I was looking at them today and they look cosy and contained but I live in a busy city and too frightened to hook onto back of bike. Currently have the Hauck and I don’t like it.

Although a lot of people use Hauck buggies for running, they're not really suitable.

I had a Thule Chariot, an ONA Sport and a Mountain Buggy Terrain. The Sport was my favourite; the MBT was good for carrying stuff underneath and walking around shops, and the Chariot was good in bad weather... but as a fairly short person 5'5" I couldn't see the front of the Chariot and I couldn't see DD in it. It was bulky and I disliked doing busy parkruns with it.

Good luck with your decision!

You have to buy an additional running wheel to convert it to a running buggy. It then also doubles as an all-terrain buggy, so is great for walks. I found it very heavy and a bit hard to manoeuvre when running, but I haven’t tried any other running buggies to compare.

We have a chariot that we use for both cycling and running and it's a really well designed bit of kit. I'm not much of a runner but DH has used the chariot loads as a running buggy both on and off road and really rates it. He finds it quite nimble with the running wheel and also really likes the brakes. He is a 6 foot bloke though so YMMV.

To get round the issue of struggling to see the child in it we wedged one of those mirrors you use in cars to see into rear facing car seats into the buggy footwell. It's got great storage capacity and seems really comfortable for the child.

One thing for sure, it is really too cumbersome to use as an ordinary buggy - it's a pain in shops or cafes.
