Flea infestation

Please help.
I started to get bitten by something back in July, then noticed fleas on Ddog. Dog has advocate put on him monthly and this has worked for years until now. Spoke to vet and they recommended a household spray which unfortunately hasn't worked. I've been vacuuming and boil washing bedding but I've now admitted defeat.

Fleas are still on DDog, but I don't think they are biting him, but they have completely gone for me. I'm covered in flea bite and I'm completely miserable. My legs are covered and are incredibly itchy.

How on earth can I deal this situation? I think I need a pest control company now to come in and help deal with it? What about the dog? I cannot understand why this has happened when I flea the dog each month.

Has anyone else experienced this? Please advise if you can.

Ask the vet for an alternative flea product (Bravecto/Simparica are a different drug to Advocate, and very effective).

Treat any other animals in the home even if they aren’t scratching.

Turn your heating on, leave open bowls of water on the radiators, and hoover daily for three days - this increased heat, humidity and vibration will hatch the eggs. Then spray the house (including hard floors, mattresses, under the sofa, under the beds) with Indorex.
Wash the dog bed /blankets above 60.

Bear in mind you may still have the odd flea jumping on outside or hatching out in the house, but these should be killed when they jump onto the dog.

Agree, indorex is a fabulous product and keeps working. You just need to break the cycle. You need to spray all the areas fleas can get to so skirting boards, under furniture, clothing etc.
I use a steamer after vacuuming too. I also pop a couple of flea traps out to catch any active ones at dawn/dusk.
Keep going!
