Do you find you're more aware of "germs" since Covid?

I don't think I was particularly paranoid during the pandemic, I followed the rules, but I was glad to embrace each lifting of the restrictions as soon as we were able.

However, I find now I'm much more aware of catching "something" than I ever was before, e.g. if a friend had told me DC had been unwell did I still want them to come over, I'd have said don't be daft, we'll take our chances, now I might even be put out that they'd consider coming.

I was out at a crowded venue last night. Not in the least bit concerned about going into that environment, but a friend was sitting out a bit so I went to see if she was OK. She'd been feeling unwell all evening and had just been sick (definitely not drink related). I hope I wasn't rude, but I honestly couldn't get away fast enough, and left "to let her DH know".

This is definitely a change in me. Anyone else? .

I think I'm actually better than I used to be. I've never wanted to hang out with ill people. My immune system is crap and even a cold can make me feel pretty awful. However, COVID meant I started working from home so I catch less illnesses and don't think about it half as much as I used to. Mind you, I still think people who know they're ill and go to social things (very different if it's a necessary thing) are selfish pricks.

No, I wasn't bothered before, during or now. Maybe I'm lucky to come from a family that is pretty hardy and my own children so far have inherited those genes
