Heated airer drying time

Considering getting a heated airer.

We have had a dehumidifier set up but have recently moved house and it doesn't seem to work as well here. Perhaps because I can't shut the door of the room it's in.

How long does your heated airer take to dry a load of washing? I don't know if I can justify the price but it's just taken nearly 2 days to dry this load with the dehumidifier.

Useless ? No quicker than a normal airer.

I got rid of mine after a hard winter a few years ago of not turning over dry washing quickly enough and having to re wash as it smelt If it wasn't dryed quick enough

Drove me nuts constantly having to move the clothes around to get it on the warm areas, even with a proper cover.

It just added so much hassle I'd rather sit in darkness and turn the oven on less to use the tumble dryer than I would set up one again

I really never understand how the cover doesn’t just trap the moisture??

@FlingThatCarrot which dehumidifier do you have please? I have a 10l Meaco ABC compressor dehumidifier that dries things overnight. I would love something quicker.

I put a half load of washing on the drier this morning

I used the DrySoon cover and spaced the clothes out

Only one t shirt is dry. Everything else is still damp

I'm getting a tumble drier

We have a Electriq 25l I think. We had the 20l one before and I think that was a better model- much better build quality, lasted 2 house moves but it didn't survive being dropped down the stairs! Was about £180 but very worth it for us.

The important think is that the flap moves- where the air exits. So that there is a good circulation in the room. And my utility is quite small, door shut. It's really quick!
