Do you know anyone who goes crazy with a full moon?

A colleague of mine asked me before - do I believe in the moon and energy and moon energy and she chatted to me for a while about the moon.

I never would have believed in full moon and energy and stuff like that but now I think maybe there's something in it.

I have an disgruntled ex friend. We fell out about 10 years ago. Haven't seen each other in over 7 years but she still contacts me to this day. Her communications is abusive. She made it very clear that we are done and she hates me and I accepted that a long time ago but she still won't leave me alone. Her communications is control and demands as if she is owed grand apologies.

Sometimes I get some quite spells and then other times out of nowhere she starts all her shit up again. She seems to get worse with the phasing of the moon.

The last serious spell of abusive rants I got was in Feb of this year and then nearly every month after that I got an email or two in Mar, April, May, June, July, Aug - nearly as if she doesn't want me to forget her. Then over the past week out of nowhere - 100s if emails. Pure crazy.

Now I am thinking of there's something to the moon making people crazy.

I'm not in the UK where you have appropriate laws in relation to harassment and stalking.

The word lunatic comes from the moon.

Yes, but so do all kinds of medical/psychiatric terms based on completely erroneous or outdated suppositions. 'Hysteria' comes from a belief dating to the ancient Egyptians that this was an actual physical illness suffered by women and caused by their wombs wandering around their bodies.

I’m not convinced. The moon is still there when it’s not a full moon, you can just see more of it.

My job is urgent care mental health. Absolutely anecdotal but there is always, always an upward trend during a full moon.

The moon controls water, we are mostly water. Yes, possibly confirmation bias but the stats don't lie. I am always very, very busy during a full moon.

I used to work in a psychiatric unit. Full moon nights were always harder than other nights.

I used to work with delinquent teenagers and it was always pretty 'busy' at the full moon. Behaviour deteriorated dramatically.
