Bed wetting - soooo sick of all the laundry

Can anyone offer practical advice for how to manage the laundry that comes with nightly bed wetting? Is there a special trick I'm missing to minimise laundry?

With 2 older children wetting the bed at least once per night, and pull-ups being advised against by the medical team, I just don't know how I'm going to keep up with the laundry. It's been hard enough this summer washing bed pads and thin fleece blankets with 1-2 loads per day on top of usual washing, but I just won't be able to keep up if I'm having to wash duvets every day too.

I've previously bought waterproof duvets but they were so plasticcy and horrible they were no use. Maybe there's a brand that is better quality? I'm more than happy to spend some money on a solution that works.

Any suggestions gratefully received 🙏

Regarding the pull ups put underwear under the pull ups so the pants get wet and feel uncomfortable (and in theroy wake up the child). I feel so sorry for you it's really awful.

We found the alarm worked brilliant. The alarm used to wear me up and I'd scramble out of the bed before it got too badly soaked. I think I might have put towels down over the sheets and then the alarm would wake me before sheet got wet.

not wanting to hijck but you lot seem to know your stuff! My dd is 6, neuro typical and developed as you would expect. Potty trained at 22 months. Still west pull up most nights, sometimes leaks it’s so full. Odd dry one. Tried no drink after 6, wee before bed, wake when we go up, she only drinks milk and water at all times. Reward chats, funky bathroom lights the works. We have had a very stressful two years (very medically complex sibling) at what point/age do we look medically?

We went to the GP at age 7 but I believe they will take an interest from 5 if you want them to.

Reusable washable kylie sheets are a lifesaver, and better than reusable bedpads. I have a bedwetter (and an elderly DF) so bulk buy from Amazon.

A Bed wetting alarm worked for us! We rented one for 3 months and it worked. We used the Rodger Alarm https://pioneermedicaleurope.co.uk/shop/rental-bedwetting-alarm-system/. It was easy to use and worked really quickly for us. My son is 9.
