Hi there. Looking for advice I'm quite concerned about my husband he's 45 years old and I feel he always eating a lot of rubbish and likes big portion of food his father died of a heat attack at the age of 48 I do just worry as he's approaching that age.... He's thin but just had a bit of a big Belly. I feel stupid writing this but I do worry and when I mention it he thinks I'm fat shaming. Any advice would be great

Would he have a Health check with his GP which would include blood pressure, cholesterol , bmi?
Does he smoke or drink above the recommended maximum of alcohol?

He's had bloods a few years ago and came back high cholesterol but has never followed it up and gone for a retest . He don't smoke as he's mother died of chest from smoking. He has the odd bottles here and there nothing that's too much 6 a week I'd say

You should be concerned.

He needs to take his health more seriously.

He has many risk factors for an early death.

I am not the healthiest but I monitor my cholesterol and BP all the time.

All he needs to do is eat more healthier I do.... I have a mixture we all like a bit of rubbish here and there. But his stomach is getting on the large side thin else where and a double chin I love him dearly feels like I'm fat shaming him but I'm not just what do I do. Can't make anyone change

It is the fact that he is ignoring his high Cholesterol results. What was his BP? So many men ignore these first signs and end up having heart attacks or strokes. Damaging kidneys due to untreated high BP is common too. He needs his health to be monitored. Ignoring it makes it a big risk factor.

His blood pressure is in the normal range . Well it was last time he went to the GP.

Cholesterol was high. He just needs to monitor his health and not ignore it.
