Opinions please ladies: is the dish safe to eat?

Come in to find DH has left pork in cider dish out all night (meat covered in cider). More or less cooked but not falling apart - was meant to be pulled pork for tonight.

I am so cross with him and the kids. I worked a night shift and they made pizzas, took the crock pot out and then left it there. I abhor food waste and this is is just so annoying..

Can I continue cooking it or should I throw it?

No heating on, fairly cold at night but obvs not fridge temp.

I would throw. It's been out far too long to be sure it's ok and really not worth it to risk food poisoning.

Very annoying though, I would be Having Words with DH!

If it was very thoroughly cooked I would possibly risk it personally, but as it wasn't then no. Sorry, but you can't chance it with pork.

Thank you, I have had words. The pot was too heavy to be lifted back in for the kids and he forgot. £20 of food to be thrown out. Jesus I could weep. Fuming.

I suspect it was not done inside @LolaJ87

No I would not risk that. What a waste!

I can't stand food waste either, especially with the current prices, so I understand how it feels to have to bin it. I'm sorry @Coldfinch, all your prep work too. It's very disappointing.

Your DH owes you a nice meal out as an apology now!

I have pretty low standards about such things but I wouldn't risk it with pork
