Why have my periods suddenly become regular?

I have PCOS and always had an irregular cycle.

Mid 30s they've suddenly become like clockwork.

I dont think I'm doing anything differently. In fact I'm probably more stressed than I've been for a while. I am newly single?

Happened to me but in my 40s .I was so shocked having a period every month lasted about 8 months then back to the couple of times a Yr.
I never did bother going to find out why tbh .

It's so strange. I suppose I should enjoy it while it (hopefully) lasts.

I’m the opposite, mine have stopped at age 33. GP said this morning could be PCOS, early menopause or ‘something else’ - have just had bloods taken to try and figure out why.

I didnt realise you could develop PCOS suddenly. I hope you figure out why. I wish there was more research into the menstrual cycle.

Oh I’ve had PCOS since puberty, but always had regular periods with it, until about 3 years ago when they went haywire and then just stopped altogether in the last year.

I hope you get to the bottom of it. PCOS is very complex.

I've had this happen to me! After 3 DC though, I thought being pregnant etc caused something to kick start.
Just thinking about it now, it's probably as you age, certain hormone levels begin to drop/increase, and thus making you more in line with 'normal' levels? Could be completely wrong though.

I've not had PCOS, but always had irregular cycles and have had issues with functional cysts on one ovary, and had an ultrasound once that suggested the other ovary was polycystic. Cycles were anywhere from 12-42 days. After I stopped breastfeeding my youngest, cycles are now almost clockwork - 30 days +/- 1, except for a weird period in early summer where I have a few short cycles (I think related to steroid medication I take for allergies, but even that is predictable). It was so frustrating trying for a baby with irregular cycles, and now I'm in my early 40s with no more babies on the horizon and bam! Predictable cycles. So weird!

My cycle became regular in my early 40s after being very irregular. Had my third child at 43!
