We've just booked to go to Mallorca with our 3yo DD. I'm a bit of a nervous traveller, and haven't been abroad for about 6 years now.

It's a package holiday with Tui.

Can you please share all or any practical tips for me please?

Things like, how do we take the buggy, can we take snacks through security at the airport or do we need to buy them at the other side etc.

I'm a bit of an overthinker and I'd like to start feeling prepared!

Thanks!

You can take food through security. But if you take liquids it's still the 100ml limit. But no such limits for anything you buy post security.

Tips - if there’s a cup or water bottle shape she likes, take an empty one in your bag through security so you can fill it from the water fountains at the other side for the flight.

take something for her to chew/suck for take off and landing.

dry snacks are fine, just not liquids. (Biscuits, oat bars etc would be fine). pack extra in your suitcase as well as hand luggage for when you get there.

if your flight time is over a meal time, buy something after security at the airport you can take on the flight - the airplane food can be limited.

Yes to taking a buggy on the flight- something that folds in one piece. Also makes evenings on holiday much easier.

spray can sunscreen is so much easier for top ups on the go.

My sister has just taken their 3yo (almost 4yo) on her second holiday to Greece today, and had a 6am flight - got onto the plane and there was a mechanical problem that needed to be fixed, then they'd missed their slot and had to wait, so were kept on the plane for almost two hours before finally taking off for the three hour flight. So just overplan and over pack for delays in terms of snacks, toys and distraction items!
