Oasis Heaton Park - GA Accessible Unreserved Standing

Hi, I hastily bought GA Accessible Unreserved Standing tickets for Oasis at Heaton Park yesterday. Will I still be able to use these? I do struggle with anxiety disorder and have proof of this through letters and medical records. I didn’t even see them properly they were automatically selected and I just clicked buy for me and my partner. I’m not trying to con the system by taking a companion, but will we still be able to use them??

Not sure about Heaton Park but when I've previously brought accessible tickets at Wembley, I've always had an email a few days later to send prove of entitlement. E.g blue badge/PIP letter in my case.

Keep an eye out for the email as mine went into my junk and it does say risk of tickets being cancelled if proof of entitlement isn't uploaded.

Thank you, Heaton Park is just one big field and all tickets just say unreserved standing so I’m not sure what will happen.
I’m hoping it’ll be ok but if not I will just have to cancel the ticket or sell it on 🥴

Do you have an access card? For our Taylor tickets we sent a scan of the access card but we could have used DLA.

It would be wrong if they didn't want the evidence.

@TwoBigNoisyBoys do you have to take a companion??

@BirdFeederFun I don’t have an access card no. Just medical records showing my anxiety diagnosis and prescriptions for medication for it.

If you don't have a blue badge, get PIP etc and send evidence of that linked to the tucket buyers name they will cancel the tickets

Yes I don't think a diagnosis of anxiety is the same as being registered disabled/needing a carer.

You could apy for an access card and see if the evidence you have would qualify you for the "plus one" element.

If in everyday life you think you reach criteria for needing a carer it is worth applying for Pip or an access card.

If you don't you shouldn't be taking disabled people's tickets/getting free tickets.

There is no such thing as 'registered disabled'

Also we have no idea how bad OP anxiety is, if it affects her life daily it absolutely is considered to be a disability.

The problem here will be evidence, as we don't know exactly what you have - it may or may not be enough but often venues specifically look for PIP (or equivalent) or access card.

Equally if you are not needing the access space, which your posts suggest to be the case, please don't take it from someone who does.

BirdFeederFun · 02/09/2024 18:32

No I was using it as shorthand for evidence ie registered for Pip/blue badge/access card.

And like you I said if it is bad enough to be considered a disability then apply for Pip and or access card with current evidence. (it's possible access card can consider her current evidence and they can be quite a quick turnaround)

And if not then no she will need to lose the space.

I think we've agreed pretty much on everything!

What day did you get - I need to swap a ticket for an accessible one on the 20th?

mamaxbear · 05/09/2024 18:48

@THey22 how many tickets do you need to swap?

Hi, just wondered what you did about this as I am now requiring accessible tickets but only have general admission so would be happy to swap?
