If I write my symptoms down would you be able to give an honest opinion?
Left breast only
Irritable skin around nipple area
Red sore tip of nipple-looks different to the other
Sometimes seeing staining in my bra, and sometimes this is also on the nipple as well
Very sore to touch, for example car seat belt feels very uncomfortable if it brushes over it
Larger area of left nipple is bigger than the right, looks almost like it the skin there is stretching over something
No visible lumps, no pain,no bleeding, no overall difference in breast size, no obvious difference in the actual skin on the breast.

Brilliant. Well done! If you feel it weighing on you over the next few days just know that you are on the road to being seen and getting answers.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Well done @PeachLemon! I know that going to the GP can make something feel real, but I always try to remember that whatever it is will roll along regardless of who I tell or who I see. And that's good news and bad news.

@PeachLemon

Well done. As I said at my local breast clinic they are really lovely.

Shouldbedoing · 05/09/2024 12:16

You know you need to get this checked out, but in the meantime, could you apply some Canestan or Clotrimazole? It sounds a bit like thrush.

Shouldbedoing · 05/09/2024 12:16

Well done

Bimblesalong · 05/09/2024 12:47

Well done. Try to keep yourself busy and when the appointment comes you will be well looked after. Fingers crossed for you.

Please see your GP for mammogram referral. Statistically, it’s probably nothing of concern but you need to be sure.

Prawncow · 05/09/2024 12:54

That’s really good.

spottydinosaur · 05/09/2024 14:24

So glad you've been & got a quick referral!

Have been thinking of you xx

katscamel · 05/09/2024 16:21

It's great you've got your referral. You'll probably have a number of tests ... mammogram and likely an ultrasound if they think it's an abcess. If it is then it's likely to be drained, which is bloody painful and smells revolting. However, the feeling when it has been done is such a relief.
As you may I have worked out, I've gone through this several times and the lab reports came back as it being a rather rare bacteria that requires continuous use of antibiotics over what may be several months.

Until your appointment try not to poke, squeeze etc, take painkillers if needed. Hope it all goe's ok.

trader21c · 05/09/2024 17:15

Best of luck so glad you are being seen!

MiddleClassProblem · 05/09/2024 17:27

Well done OP. I hope you’re ok. The wheel is in motion so try to tell yourself that there’s nothing you can do until Wednesday if the worries are creeping in. Best of luck x

spottydinosaur · 11/09/2024 21:29

How did you get on today ❤️‍🩹

Rebecca0719 · 17/11/2024 13:11
