Who takes a child, particularly a blond child, on holiday to a place with strong sunshine, without packing a rash vest? Gobsmacked.

Oh fuck off.

Dilbertian · 31/08/2024 10:34

Will you also tell me to fuck off when I comment on the story below that one? A young man is seriously ill on holiday with inadequate travel insurance. £500,000 medical cover for an activities-based holiday in the USA?

Don't people think?

She covered him in sun cream 4 times in a 2hr period. It’s the 1st time he’s been burnt on the holiday and it happened on the last day. It’s clear from the article she did everything right. How do you know she didn’t have insurance?

You’re judging for no reason.

The insurance refers to the story below hers.

Yes, she did the right thing with what she had. But what she didn't have was a very simple, readily available bit of kit - a rash vest. If, as she claims, you can't rely on unfamiliar sunscreen (code, I suspect, for 'foreign stuff') then rely on something dependable - like a rash vest. She could have bought a known brand and it still be fake or out of date.

She won’t be the first or the last who ran out of suncream on holdiay. She bought more. The article seems to be raising awareness that some creams can have adverse effects.
