For once, Iran is not the problem here. The Taliban are Sunni and Iran is Shia. Theologically they hate each other (although they agree that men are great and women should STFU). They occasionally have gun battles along their mutual border.
There was a time when the Taliban had close relationships with certain Gulf states, but that's lessened recently. Plus we have to be nice to the Gulf states because of oil and arms sales and we like going to Dubai for holidays (and containment of Iran).
All Western governments have condemned the Taliban as far as is possible, but they only understand force. We tried that, to the tune of a trillion dollars and over three thousand coalition deaths, and it didn't work.
As the saying goes, think global, act local. If you can't help Afghan women (some good charities have been mentioned), see if you can help other women who are victims of religious misogyny nearer to home. It all adds up.
