I'm struggling for ideas to feed my 12 month old DS. I worry about his nutritional intake. Rate my meals for him for the last two days so I can see if I'm missing anything and give me suggestions!

I probably sound ridiculous but I worry a lot about what I'm feeding him. I also find it as struggle to think of things to feed him, so any easy meals would be greatly appreciated!!

Breakfast yesterday:

Porridge, Raspberries & banana

Lunch yesterday:

Homemade veggie & chicken nuggets, homemade wedgies & strawberries

Snack

oatabix bar, cheese

Dinner

Mince & veg Chilli, sweet potatoes wedgies, bits of orange & Greek yoghurt

Breakfast Today

Avacado, toast, Raspberries, Greek yoghurt

Lunch

Fish fingers, beans & homemade wedgies

Snack

Oatabix bar & strawberries

Dinner

Pasta, cheese, peas, carrot wedgies

Looks absolutely fine.

You could drop the oatibix bar.

I find it helpful to have a list of each food category (protein/carb/veg/fruit/dairy) and everything that fits in to each category. Then you just need to pick something from each category for each meal. It helps to keep the range of food offered broad too.

Would it help to get some therapy/ talk to your therapist about your worry about what you are feeding him? Generally toddlers are fickle beings at they’ll go through stages of not wanting what you’re offering usually.

All loooks very healthy! I don’t know why you’d think otherwise? We don’t make specific food for our baby, they just have a small portion of ours.

Egg muffins are a hit here, you can basically just chuck any shredded or choped veg in to get a snack or lunchbox item with protein and good nutrients.

Your meals look absolutely fine though OP!

Looks lovely and very similar to what I feed my 17m old twins!

I have the what mummy makes book, full of easy recipes, I batch cook a load of recipes on a weekend and freeze them all, just take out a portion for each meal every morning and microwave it.

particular hits in our house:
breakfast:
blueberry pancake bites
egg/broccoli/pepper muffin bites
spinach and cheese eggy bread

lunch/tea:
cheese twists
spinach and sweetcorn muffins
courgette fritters
pastas (Leek, 3min pasta, chicken and courgette)
ricotta and spinach parcels
chicken nuggets/fish fingers with veg

i serve nearly every thing with fruit and yoghurt.

snacks are also baby snacks usually, oat bars and sweetcorn crisps etc

I think you need help for your anxiety, not help with his eating because that all sounds great

Everything looks fine. We generally gave my kids what we ate, without the salt.

Things my kids really like.

Tuna pasta bake
Spag bol
Chilli and rice (without the chilli)
Home made hummus and veggies and crackers to dip
Veggie curries with lentils and chickpeas for protein. Sweet potato and squash always well recieved
Pan fried fish with crispy skin chopped up for them
Salmon kebabs marinated in honey and soy sauce with egg fried rice with peas and corn
Couscous salad sort of things
Soup with bread to dunk
Ham and cheese omelette
Pizza toast which is just cheese on toast with tomato puree spread on the bread and dried oregano sprinkled on top. Can add other toppings too.
Porridge with banana and peanut butter
Toasties - make sure they have cooled down before serving
Stir fry with noodles, prawns and veg
Any kind of one pot thing with rice
Pan of roast veggies with some chicken chopped up
Sausage and bean casserole

At this age I'd just be trying to introduce lots of different veggies and legumes to make sure they are happy to eat them further down the line.

Looks good to me. Could drop the cereal bar but my 1 year old's diet isn't perfect either!

Looks ok, but very kiddi meal with the nuggets and fish fingers. Why not just feed him normal meals that you are all having, like shepherds pie, spaghetti bolognese, mild curry and rice, with proper vegetables served with the meals rather than blended into nuggets? Better for everyone to eat together anyway and he'll see you eating the same food as him.
