Should I be honest with occupational health about the medications I am taking?

Can they withdraw the job offer if I am taking any medications?

It would be illegal for them to do so for almost all occupations

Depending on the medications and the nature of your role, there may need to be adjustments made so that you and others are safe. If you do not disclose to OH your true state of health and an incident occurs, in a worst case you could be either held personally liable or sacked for gross misconduct (dishonesty in the recruitment process).

For most jobs, it won't make any difference at all.

But if it's something with specified (and justified) health requirements (eg pilots, Armed Forces) it can rule you out. For other roles (eg driving or operating machinery when on drowsy-making meds which stipulate you should not do those things) then they might have to see if there are other vacancies or ask you to delay start until or reapply for next similar vacancy when you are no longer on the medication.

(Caveat - few years since I was dealing with this sort of stuff. If any of what I have written is no longer current practice, I hope someone will be along with an update)

Thank you. If I withhold that I am taking medication, will they be able to find out the truth? Like from a physical exam or from my GP?
Really confused about being honest.
I read online about a few people who were honest about their disabilities and medication and were treated differently during the job - for example, being given LESS responsibilities.
I also googled occupational health assessment and they said there would be a urine test? It is the first I am hearing of this. Is the urine test to check if you are taking any medication?
