This may win the most boring thread of today but where do you store bedding and towels - if you don't have an airing cupboard.

Presently in the drawers of the bed but we are getting rid of bed(and the fairly useless drawers) and replacing with and ottoman bed

Our bedding is stored under our bed. DD's is in her wardrobe and DS has a cupboard under his mid-sleeper bed and his bedding is in there. There's another cupboard under his bed that isn't easily accessible and I keep the towels in there.

Yes they do but I store bulky things in them that doesn't need to be accessed regularly - I find it quite a pain!

OK, so where is all the bulky stuff that will be going under the new bed currently live? The sheets and towels can go in the space freed up there.

In the old airing cupboard in the hall. No cylinder in there now so have shelves for bedding and towels.

Bedding is in the drawers of the divan bed (overflow in the main wardrobe). Towels are on the shelf at the top of the wardrobe in the spare room and on the bottom shelf in the bathroom.

@DoublePeonies

Current set up is

Double ottoman bed with bulky stuff underneath (duvets and so on cushions and so on)

King bed with 2 drawers containing bedding and towels

New set up will be
Double ottoman bed
Super king bed

I don't really want store bedding and towels in the ottoman beds as they are a bit of a faff to open.

I guess I made my own airing cupboard! The washer/dryer was downstairs in the loo, underneath the boiler. It's super inconvenient to have a machine a whole floor away from where the laundry accumulates. So there was a shallow cupboard on my upstairs landing and the surveyor who came to inspect the house before I bought it suggested I push out the back and put the machine there (then in the alcove created in the spare bedroom square it off by putting built in wardrobes). So this is exactly what I did. In building the space they added two shelves above the machine. This is where my sheets and towels are stored. I also store some in one of the wardrobes in the spare room.

In what used to be the airing cupboard. There’s no cylinder in there now. So it’s been racked out and they’re in there.

I have this too. All towels and bed sheets go in there. I still keep spare duvet covers and pillow cases in under bed drawers though.

Thanks everyone I'm going to get the super king ottoman bed and the matching end of bed ottoman for towels and bedding.

In a zipped storage box thing on top of my wardrobe. I'm short so have a kids IKEA one!
