Foxes in the garden

Our garden is beset by foxes-or maybe just one fox and it's becoming a real issue. We have a long garden that backs on to another houses garden at the end of it. Fences either sides and mature bushes all around.
The fox has dug a hole either side and goes between gardens. Every time I find a hole I fill it in with rubble and soil . But of course it just digs another hole, or there are holes under the bushes in bits I can't get to, or else possibly it jumps the fence-6ft fence all round, but I assume this is possible.

I was up in the night with our puppy and when I went down to let him out the fox was on our patio about a meter from the back door having a poo. He didn't even flinch when I turned the light on.

The garden is full of fox poo but worse is the very strong smell of fox wee which no amount of washing with soapy water will get out of the patio and steps (and we can't wash the whole garden obvs).

We have tried some fox repellent spray (both shop bought and our own made with chilli and garlic which they are said to hate). All that did was make the garden (and me as I got it on me) smell like a kebab shop! .

I like Foxes. I just don't like the rank smell of their wee! And I also fear for our very outdoorsy cat, and our little dogs, one of whom is a quite plucky Jack Russell and would probably take on a Fox if she met it on her lawn and come off worse. (Also it's an utter pain letting them out for a quick wee and they come back having found some Fox poo to roll in. They are delighted. I am not).

Has anyone any ideas? I can't concrete down 6 feet around my fence or anything like that as it's too long a garden and we can't even get to much of the fence due to the bushes etc.

See if you can get some rebar (reinforcement bars used in concreting) and drive them into the ground to prevent the foxes digging under the fence. It will sort of have the effect of jail bars, but underground.
