Another similar'ish post made me think ...

A friend retired. However she's decided to go back to work (not quite full time) so that she can afford a nice holiday every year.

So you work 52 weeks of the year (OK, 47) so you can have two weeks off?

No

But I can understand why someone who might want to go on a particular special holiday might.

We're all different.

Is she state pension age or early retirement? As long as she feels up to continuing working it makes sense if there are things she particularly wants to do but can't afford to without working . No point in being able to sit at home 365 days a year if you can't afford to do anything .

I'm speaking as someone who has recently taken early retirement - but if I couldn't have afforded to get away on holiday a couple of times a year then I would have continued working for a while .

Great if she's happy.

Not sure what you're asking though?
