Spending a weekend in my own in Airbnb - what are your tips?

Hi all, I've decided to jump ship and finally have a weekend away by myself to get away from the stresses of everyday life.
My partner is a bit confused as to why I've now decided to do a lone weekend after 6 years together, but here we are!

Long story short my job is very full on, I travel a lot and WFH when I'm not travelling and just need to get away with a bottle of wine, a good book and no distractions.

Can any of you recommend something things I can do in my tiny little shepherds hut (in the middle of no where) for the weekend.. p.s im not an explorer!

Any tips appreciated. Thank you!

If it were me, I'd be packing up my backpack, putting on my walking boots and going out for a long walk every day.

Just hope it's not raining. Booked end of Sep!

I'd take books, crossword puzzle, nice snacks, wine and coffee. I'd have a look at local attractions or nice parks in case I fancied venturing out. Also think about food. And maybe nice bubble bath for a soak

A few good books I wanted to read, bubble bath.

Is bubble bath an option? OP said “shepherds hut”

Approx where, OP? I tend to go book shopping 😀

-Give yourself a mini manicure/pedi
-Apply a face mask
-Take a tripod and take photos. Landscape, stars, beach
-At night, take a picnic blanket, lye on the ground outside and watch the stars and satellites go past
-Check trip advisor for local things you have never been to before

I have done this a few times only in the last 2 yrs. AMAZING! My hubby of over 30 yrs looked confused too...but accepts it now. He too does things without me. Walking, reading, running and eating out! You go girl...enjoy!! :)

Ooh enjoy. I'd take a new book, an iPad with a film I've been wanting to watch. Wine, snacks, find a lovely local place for lunch or takeaway. Sounds fab

I would love this. I would break the day up. Long walks whilst listening to a podcast. Micheal mosely's "just one thing" might help you to sort out reducing your stress.

Think of stress reducing things. Deffo a good book. Do an online yoga session (loads on you tube)

Take a sketch pad and some art pencils snd try drawing, I got into this recently and it's a lovely way do be super calm.

Nap in the afternoon.

I'd walk and sew. In fact, my DD and I are going off for 3 nights next week to do just that. We're calling it our sewing retreat.

Thank you for all your tips, I'll definitely get some puzzles to keep my mind active and lay out under the stars. I'd love to have a bubble bath but the most I have a is a power shower Grin
