It's not a massive deal but it's pissing me of. If I pick something up even light can of coke for example my arm feels pretty painful it on the forearm part. Not on the joints. It feels like it's pain on the bone. I have not knocked it hurt it in anyway. It's been like for about a month . 🤔

Bone pain can be caused by low vitamin D, for me it was my left clavicle that constantly hurt/burned. Resolved once I was prescribed Vit D.

I would get your vitamin levels checked.

I thought it would be more than just one bone but that’s how it presented in me.
My GP ignored my bone pain and it was a hospital consultant that requested the Vit D, along with other bloods, for a separate issue. Once I started treatment the bone pain vanished, it only ever returned once my levels went low again. I’ve been on a permanent prescription for the last 3 years and the pain hasn’t returned.
I did also have issues with iron and B12 at various other times, but neither of those ever caused bone pain.

Sounds like tennis elbow, which despite the reference to "elbow" can often predominantly affect the forearm muscles.
I had this after over-doing it at the gym and it took 2-3 months to heal completely. For me, it caused pain when lifting/gripping objects and generally felt like a muscle strain or weakness. I rested it up best I could and haven't had any issues since.

The Vit D is a simple blood test and easy to put right, which is why I'd start with that. If you don't want to bother the GP you can get a test at Boots, but IDK if the GP would accept the test results before they prescribe, or if they'd want to retest.

It sounds just like my tennis elbow, which hurts in my forearm

Why not just buy some vit D supplements? I don't need a prescription I just buy it.

The prescription is for 50,000 microunits and you take one tablet a week for 2 months. Its thousands of times more potent than the OTC Vitamin D, and your GP might need to monitor you while you take it.

What you can buy OTC is really weak compared to what a GP can prescribe - if OP has properly low levels, she'll likely need more than a tablet from Boots.

Tbf many GP’s don’t test now as they’ve been told much of the U.K. is deficient so it’s a waste of an expensive test and the advice is to just take vitamin D, it does depend on how many symptoms you have though.

Why not just buy some vit D supplements? I don't need a prescription I just buy it.Mine are only just in ‘normal’ range (not optimal bone protection range) on the high strength prescription, some people need a higher dose than can be bought otc

I know I have low iron /animea I was prescribed 5mg folic acid. I can only buy them at 4mg . I might just do that anyway. No harm
