Anyone use a ReMarkable or similar?

Hi all,
I my job I take a lot of notes in a lot of different situations, for different committee meetings, etc and currently just use Pukka pads or sometimes nice hardback notepads from Amazon. Trouble is, I get through so many, and also I can never find the right notes when I need to refer back to them.
I'm thinking about getting an electronic pad such as a ReMarkable, which I really like the look of. Reviews are OK - the negative comments often mention it's lack of functionality, but I only need to to take and collate notes.
Has anyone used one? They're quite pricey so was hoping for other people's thoughts to swya me either way!
TIA

I use one. It has massively cut down on my notepad useage!

The handwriting to text converter is not totally accurate so if you were anticipating using that function then expect to spend time going through editing, re typing and correcting formatting. To be honest it is quicker to just type up the notes and I would get some sort of slimline computer/tablet with keyboard to type.

If you just want handwritten notes it is pretty convenient. It is very slimline to pop in a bag. You can select and drag section of text around if you need to add stuff above where you have written. You have options of style of pen and can also type with an on screen keyboard. There is some functionality for colour though they don't display on the Remarkable itself. You can email the notes to yourself as a pdf. You can also sync with a Google drive and download pdfs to annotate and read on it (note that it can only do pdfs not other file formats). You do need to be on WiFi for any downloading and emailing as it can't use mobile data.

There are additional costs if you want to use their online back up (but you can also email notes to yourself straight away). The official protective cover is extortionate to buy but you can get cheap copies on Amazon.

That so incredibly helpful @terrywynne thank you.
I don't think I need to convert handwritten notes to text but I like the idea of saving them as a pdf and grouping them. Definitely swaying toward getting one!

I have a Kindle scribe. I made the choice of that over the Remarkable as I read a lot as well so I didn't want to be carrying two devices. To be honest I wish I had chosen the Remarkable. The kindle still doesn't do writing to text conversion so I still have to type up important notes. I banked on the fact that being Amazon and the promise of upgrades that it was on it's way, but this hasn't materialised yet.

Appart from this issue I absolutely love my electronic notebook! And this comes from a dedicated stationery and notebook obsessed lover. I haven't touched another notebook since getting it. Bought it in Dec 2022.

If you just want PDFs of your handwritten notes then a Rocketbook does the job very well for a fraction of the price of a ReMarkable.

Although reading @terrywynne comment maybe I didn't make such a bad choice! The scribe also converts to pdf and you can move text around by a cut and paste method. Overall I love it!
