What does "skin flora isolated" mean on a GP test result?

Hi, I'm using the NHS app. I had a swab taken last week by the GP. She thought my skin issue was bacterial rather than fungal.

The test results state:
"Skin flora isolated"
And
"Fungal culture candida sp. not isolated"

Does this mean that my skin issue is indeed bacterial and therefore the anti biotic cream she gave me should work?

I have called to ask but their systems are apparently all down. I thought somewhere here must know.

Thank you

You don't have thrush, you have a bacterial skin issue.

I read that to mean the lab found candida (ie fungal infection), but didn't find out what species of candida it is.

It means the result was normal
we all have skin flora ( ie normal non harmful
bacteria)
there were no harmful bacteria or Fungi found.

Sorry I should qualify that to say no Candida albicans was found ( this is the yeast that causes thrush) . It didn’t say no fungus/ yeast at all.
