What school shoes are you buying your teenage boy?

I usually get him M&S but last few times they haven't lasted that well.

Am assuming kids go to a similar type of school as no kickers/AF/trainers allowed here.

We've bought some from Next, they look pretty solid. They have quite a good selection online.

DS liked Next. He has skinny feet some lace up are narrow

My son is in an "I" width who the fuck knew you could get wider than a H I sure didn't

This makes no sense to me. AF1s are leather and can be polished. They just have to remove the metal bit from the laces. They’ve been very hard wearing for my football playing son.

We got these. We also cant have trainer type ones, but he's starting yr7 and we dont know anyone at his new school so we just hope they're ok.

Kickers again, they seem to last the year and are comfy.

We're in the same position @Justgivemesomepeace so we've played safe with some from clarks and I hope they're OK.

For PE we went with some lovely leather trainers that I feel should be ideal school shoes from sports direct but its strictly no trainers. In SD all their options for proper shoes were either synthetic materials or super pointy and narrow which won't work for his wide feet so now I just need to hope these clarks ones fit when they arrive...I should have bought earlier but he's gone up a size this school holiday so I'm glad I didn't!

DS3's are still lasting from beginning of year 8. DS2 had these too until Year 11. They have wide feet and DS2 had ingrown toenails and these were the only ones he could wear comfortably. From year 11 he upgraded to these ones https://www.clarks.com/en-gb/howard-walk/26161285-p and he has stuck with these for sixth form, plus got some brown ones to go with sixth form suit. DS1 had them all through sixth form and now going strong at uni for his hospitality job.

I hate to big up Clarks as they have annoyed me in the past, but both of these shoes have really worked well for my three sons through the teenage years and have lasted incredibly well. I never pay full prcie, you can usually get a 10/15% code for Clarks online and they ususally honour it in store.

No piss taking here, but they are at a school where absolutely nothing even vaguely resembling an AF1/Trainer is tolerated so everyone is in sensible shoes.

I bought these for ds today. Hopefully the chunky soles will be hard wearing and he has wide feet so we usually end up in Clarks.

My husband has had some of these for literally years. Although not worn every day, they have lasted really well and he finds them super comfy!
