School change

My two kids are due to start private school (one in nursery and another reception), however the increase in fees in light of the election chan(for the school , not nursery) and this week a change in circumstances at work, means this is no longer feasible.

I realise it would mean paying a terms fees for both. I have no idea what to do. I cannot afford to pay a terms fees and then also for regular childcare (nanny). Would it be unfair to send them for a term and then start another nanny or nursery / school in September. I feel really bad and stressed about the whole situation.

I meant in January , and send for one term

So would the idea be to send them in September, but immediately give notice, so you don’t have to pay the fees beyond the end of term?

For Year R in state school, you need to fill in the application form in the autumn term. Not sure when the closing date is though. I imagine the nursery will be one that has space in January.

Thank you, yes , contract is a terms notice, so I’d give notice before sept , send for a term , then they’d leave in Dec and start new school or nursery ( or nanny) in Jan.

just feel really bad moving them like that , and making friends etc then to leave and restart. But cannot afford the fees upfront to then not send them as we work and need childcare
