Looks like an old cot to me. Unlikely to be sold anymore.

DiscoBeat · 17/08/2024 18:25

That will be an old photo as bumpers aren't used any more. You could try ebay

BertieBotts · 17/08/2024 18:32

The one with the folding sides aren't sold any more, they aren't considered safe.

You can still get drop side ones but they aren't as popular. I think IKEA cots are generally good value.

KatyMac · 17/08/2024 18:44

I have a disability so a cot without an adapted side wont work

If I can find the brand I can search more effectively on ebay and marketplace

Have you looked at Babybay? They have a lowerable side due to being marketed as a bedside cot but they have some bigger sizes, not being as tiny as the usual bedside cots.

KatyMac · 17/08/2024 19:13

That looks good but it's quite small

We have the tiny baby sorted, it's the next bit

Apparently they can't be bought in the uk

Argh how annoying. The Babybay Maxi is a decent size but tricky if you can't get it there.

I think some travel cots might have a collapsible side if that would help.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 17/08/2024 19:31

Is a Pedialift out of budget?

Favouritefruits · 17/08/2024 19:40

I Had that cot, not the bedding but the actual wooden cot, it’s a Mothercare one I bought it 11+ years ago

td89 · 17/08/2024 19:46

John Lewis used to sell a drop side cot, maybe you could find one 2nd hand if that would suit.

An image reverse check seems to show it for sale in Ukraine/Poland/Moldova , so I assume it's an EE thing/product.

KatyMac · 17/08/2024 20:22

That's annoying @NowImNotDoingIt

I can get an ordinary drop side but that folding one looked lower

Thanks @Favouritefruits

@MooseBeTimeForSnow so far out of our price range for occasional use!!

The babybay base is too high for an older baby - our newborn solution is a moses basket on a surface that has 4 sides (iyswim)

But when the baby is standing I will still need to bend to out them down when sleeping or pick them up from sleeping so it will need to be higher and open access

I had a babybay, and basically all bits of it are just tensioned on the rails so you can slide the base much further down to the floor like a normal cot. It is a huge PITA to adjust it honestly. But I think it should work for a standing baby. The biggest one is 112cm long so not as long as a normal cot but might fit until nearly 2 and then a normal bed might work?

Or Phil & Ted's Traveller might be worth a look.

It's frustrating I can find loads for sale in Germany, full size cot, zip down side, but the same models then aren't available in the UK.

I would be cautious about amazon because there is a lot of imported stuff on there that doesn't always meet safety standards.

BirthdayRainbow · 17/08/2024 20:43

I don't know but please don't put a bumper on your cot when you get one.

My cot is from John Lewis and I'll be looking for a new home for it if anyone wants one. Also a travel cot and pram.

I think this might be my one, or certainly very similar. It has a drop side.

NowImNotDoingIt · 17/08/2024 20:49

I'd say your best bet is to go in person and try different cots out and see what's the best you can cope with. Due to safety standards / regulations, you won't really find exactly what you need in the UK.

Sadly, adapted ones (for parents with disabilities, wheelchair users etc) run in the thousands.

KatyMac · 17/08/2024 20:58

And disabled grandparents can't access help

I may adapt a cot - remap do fab adaptations, but I'm prob not eligible
