Teenage Boy clothes - what/where to buy?

I have two non-football playing teenage boys - not partic sporty.
Just looking for clothes that aren't all viscose and don't make them look like their mum dresses them.
Where do I get this?
Can't find nice plain clothes anywhere.

Is there a reason they don't have am opinion on this?

I find it odd they dont care at all and I say that as the mum of a boy who does not care about clothes at all but would still have a vague idea of wether he wanted tracking bottoms, jeans or chinos for example.

My 14 year old DS likes ASOS for oversize plain hoodies and he's got nice plain hoodies from Next and Zara too. He wears sports bottoms like Nike shorts or trackie bottoms. He looks online for stuff though and I pay for it 😂

Mine lives in trackies and football tops but i think h&m decent for basics.

My 14yo wears the skate park look. Baggy jeans, white Reebok type trainers, t shirts and zip-through hoodies. Wears with jewelry (heavy silver necklace & bracelet- wants a ring 🙄). He picked this look up off the 6th formers at his public school. His favourite shop is Size?

I am not involved in clothing him other then the finance.

Don’t you love when you ask a simple, everyday question and someone wants to bypass that and psychologically analyse your family? 😂

I assume this is aimed at me. The question of what/where to buy would be a lot easier to answer if we had a clue what sort of clothes they liked.

Do they like jeans, chinos, shorts, tracksuit bottoms even if mum doesn't like them etc etc.

If there is a reason they have absolutely no preference then fine we can continue offering random suggestions but if they do have an opinion it would definitely help.

Have you considered Ralph Lauren? That is usually the agreed 'go to' for me and DS when he needs to wear something other than casual.

Cattery · 17/08/2024 13:34

Arne. Under Armour.

Elizo · 17/08/2024 13:34

H and M, M and S, sports direct

HowIrresponsible · 17/08/2024 13:34

How old? Will make a difference if they're 13/14 or 17/18

Izzynohopanda · 17/08/2024 13:38

Jack and Jones
Pull and Bear
Goose and Gander
Salt Rock
North face

General brands to consider.

Shoos include ASOS, M and m direct, or the shop sites directly

Sorry didn't mean to post and run
13 y o doesn't really care
Neither of them are particularly bothered by what they wear
13 yo is a bit sweaty so trying to keep in natural fibres hence avoiding sports direct etc
16 yo has bought a couple of things from Hollister but they wouldn't actively go looking for new clothes themselves and things are getting too small/worn so I am looking for a refresh and getting so annoyed about it all
Why do I have to order xxxs menswear for my 13 year old?
Why is it all poly cotton?
I am grumpy

Mine is14 and doesn't care much. We buy m&s for plain trousers as he's tall and skinny(still need adjustable waists!) H&M/primark/next for pwn brand hoodies/tshirts. Plus nice branded stuff from next. Next has loads of choice to be fair.

Lockdownlucy76 · 17/08/2024 14:48

Uniqlo and H&M are great for my tall unsporty 14 year old who hates anything branded. He lives in combats and plans t shirts and a hoody in the winter.
