Is there any greater feeling of low level dread...

...than waiting to catch a sickness bug? 😖 DD's nursery warned us that it was doing the rounds last week so we held our breath, but it was DH who succumbed last night. I'm not even sure of the last decade he had a stomach bug before this - poor thing, says he feels like death. Currently trying to ignore my own grumbly belly while entertaining DD. Happy weekend everyone 😅

I guess the only positive is if your DH has it, your DD seems to have transmitted it without getting ill. Fingers crossed for you. DH and I don't seem to get the same bugs!

We've been in the same situation many times over the years and it always amazes me that one of us just doesn't get the bug when everyone else does. Same with Covid. We've all had it but never at the same time! Fingers crossed it's the same for you.

Oh I agree, the anticipation of the possible event is almost worse than the actual throwing up part, at least when it’s happening you know it shouldn’t last too long. We have kids who pick up all the tummy bugs and while I don’t remember a sick bug as a childless adult, since they’ve come, there’s someone with a vomity bug 2-3 times per year. With gratitude I have noticed that the spreading is less now that the youngest is 5 and they are both able to get it into the loo/a vessel, rather than just puke everywhere. So if DD does get it, my advice is stay close and help her get it in! I’m so sorry for your DH, hope it passes quickly.
