Afternoon tea in London for 30 people - where?

Hello, does anyone have a recommendation of somewhere I could hire for afternoon tea for around 30 people please?

Anywhere in London is fine. Maybe somewhere with private hire.

It's for our 10 year wedding anniversary- we're not party people at all so thought this would be a nice alternative, although I'm totally open to other suggestions. We'd be paying for the lot and there isn't really a budget.

All adults, non drinkers.

Thanks!

The Swan at the Globe has a lovely private room.

The Goring does beautiful afternoon tea and you could book the Veranda for 30 people. Highly recommend it. It's my favourite afternoon tea venue in London.

The soho hotel
You can have afternoon team in the drawing room, which is lovely

Thanks everyone for all of these suggestions. We are definitely not going to do the bus (elderly parents and no toilets, plus travel sickness). I've sent out lots of enquiries!

I loved the look of the Shard but we've 35 on our list (can't get it down to 30 and can't imagine anyone not coming) and they have a max of 30. Sketch looked fun but they said no big bookings. Brigit's Bakery also only goes to 30.

Fingers crossed I hear from others soon!

I'm really hopeful about the Ritz for you. They can accommodate an entire wedding reception, I am sure they would have a suitable room for you (plus a delicious tea!).

I think that it can be quite tricky to make a tea booking or even a dinner booking for 35 in Central London. In many places, that would mean almost their entire capacity, which is why I think that they have a limit of around 30.

When I was at the Ritz for tea, they brought over the gluten-free selection for me and it was simply beautiful! So many tiny sandwiches and delicate hand-made cakes.

I couldn't manage everything, so the waiters made me a picnic bag to take home. I was also given a lovely book about tea at the Ritz.

I think that the following e-mail address would elicit a prompt reply from the Ritz.

Have a look at Browns in Mayfair as well, I went to a lovely hen do in a private room there and there were about 25 of us.

Thanks @TheSquareMile I have messaged them. It would be lovely to go to The Ritz but that would be the very top end of our budget.

We had a special 80th birthday tea at the Hilton Waldorf which was amazing.

What about the Ned? Gorgeous interiors and rooms if you wanted to stay the night before!
