We're about to go on holiday staying in BoW for 1 week. Any recommendations for things to do in the area with primary schools aged children please? Thanks!

The Rollright Stones for a free and less crowded "mini-Stonehenge".

Very mini! And also not free. I was there this week - it's £2 per person. Granted, not a lot of money, but still not free.

Worth stopping if you happen to be passing, but I wouldn't make a specific trip of it. They're nice to see, but they are VERY mini indeed!

Evesham has dragon pedalos on the river at weekends and boat trips, plus the water play in the riverside park is pretty good. At Aztec Lower Moor (a few miles from Evesham) you can hire kayaks/pedalos/SUP boards on their lake which is fun

Ah OK, been a while since I went - sure it always used to be free.

There’s an honesty box for a donation. It’s not exactly turnstiles and direct debits. As far as paid attractions go, £2 is not daylight robbery. It’s an interesting site and there is a very doable circular walk signposted from there. Check it out and decide afterwards if you want to make a small donation.

If you like water, you can hire row boats and pedalos on the Thames at Lechlade or kayak/SUP on a lake by the hour at South Cerney. Sudeley Castle is worth a visit (possibly still a blue Peter badge attraction). It has Henry VIII connections and a good playground.

You are not that far from Blenheim Palace which is well worth a visit.
