Any idea what this is?

I've had this on my shin for about 2 months. Tried various OTC creams and have twice asked a pharmacist for something. One thought ringworm as it was a bit round but it doesn't seem so now. They gave me Lamisil.
Just today I've noticed one appearing on my other shin too. Pharmacist had no idea and gave me hydrocortisone cream.
I know I probably should see the GP but I tried the pharmacist first because it takes so long to get a GP appointment.

Asking on here because I can't go to the GP right now, so please don't say why ask here and not see GP!

It does look like ring worm. Have you tried an anti fungal cream? If the pharmacist doesn’t know what it is, it’s time to see the GP.

It looks like ringworm to me too. Daktarin will work. Very surprised a pharmacist couldn’t diagnose it though?

Thank you. So first pharmacist gave me Lamisil because that's also an antifungal apparently but I can try daktarin.
Yesterday's pharmacist suggested it's friction from socks, or a bruise! I haven't worn socks since before it appeared as I live in sandals in summer!

Lamisil should work just the same. It will take a little while though. A week or two IIRC.

How long did you use the ringworm cream for? It took a month before my DDs started disappearing.

There are plenty if medics who don't recognise illnesses that once were frequent occurrences. Met a young woman some years ago, hands covered in scabies, once so common, it was instantly recognisable. Pharmacist didn't know what it was. Doctor didn't know what it was. Referred to skin specialist who did identify it. As above, looks like ringworm. Fungal.

Pityriasis Rosea? My 12yo had that a while back. It usually clears up by itself.
