Hi
Has anyone been in my position?
I joined an agency last year and had regular shifts in supported living.
The agency gave me assignments with the same company for 6 months but mostly I was picking up shifts through the house managers and then informing the agency and completing my timesheet.

I was really happy working for the agency and in the supported living houses.
The problem is now, work has dried up as the care company finds it expensive using agency staff. I've been asked by the house manager to leave the agency and take on a permenant role but I'm not sure how the agency would react to that as they have been providing me with work with this company since I joined them.

is there a clause with leaving the agency to start work with a care company that the agency has been supplying me work with for the last 6 months.

I would have been happy to stay with the agency but as they have no work , I don't really have a choice.

I would appreciate it if somebody has information on this or has been in a similar situation.

You need to look at your contract as no one else can know the answer.
Also providing it’s not in your contract who cares what the agency thinks. Care agencies have high staff turnover so they won’t be surprised anyway.

There's usually a finders fee to pay if you start work for someone you worked with via the agency within around 6 months. It's usually around 6% of your salary, but the care company would pay this, not you
