Am I still entitled to claim Carers allowance now dd is becoming more independent?

Because I am confused.

DD is a young adult and receives higher rate daily living PIP. She has a lot of needs and also has 4 points for social support.
She needs help with prompting for meals and managing medication, cutting up food and other personal needs , I make all her meals as she forgets the cooker is on, I handle all her bills and mail and forms. She has support from multiple outside agencies around her social support needs and mental health also.
I make and attend all her medical appointments with her and deal with all forms.
She panics if home alone so needs company there.

She has recently in the last few weeks become more independent but only in the fact that she is now working part time at a workplace that is specifically for people with her specific needs and disability. She is heavily supported there and all staff are trained to deal with the needs both she has and actual clients who attend, She has also started going out with friends but again said friends are from a place related to her disability who are also trained in working with people with her disability and needs.

But the fact is she IS going out now without me and I do not know if I should be informing them about this?

Any help appreciated!

It sounds like you're still providing an enormous amount of care, presumably well over the 30+ hours or whatever the threshold is. I wouldn't even question it.

No don’t give this a second thought.

So long as you are still providing a minimum of 35hrs/week of care, and this can be at any time of day or night, then yes you can.
