50th ideas please

I will be celebrating my 50th in October, I am looking for ideas for myself and 5 girlfriends. I fancy something like a theatre experience where you can have some fizz and a meal, and see a good show. Can get to London on the train. Probably not the Mamma Mia one, but similar idea. Don't mind spending a bit on tickets if it's worth it.

Any ideas or suggestions very gratefully received, thanks.

Tastefilm is somewhat similar to the Mamma Mia experience. My SIL went and absolutely loved it, they match the food they serve you to what the characters on the screen are eating and do a variety of films each month.

If you are in town for a long weekend, you could go to the Ritz for Tea, if you would like that.

When I was there a few months ago for tea, the staff brought over a birthday cake to one guest and everyone sang Happy Birthday!

If you fancy something a bit different or after the show how about booking a karaoke room. Very popular and loads of fun. Mama Shelter in Shoreditch is fabulous for food and they have Japanese karaoke rooms. You can order food for while you're in the karaoke room too.

If you would like an up tempo immersive theatre show, Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre is excellent! Some of the audience stand in the middle and the actors move around them.

It's not a show where you have dinner during the show, but you could go somewhere nice beforehand and then have some fizz during the interval.

I went to see moulin rouge with friends.... it was so much fun! If you are happy to spend a bit more there are some VIP seats at the front.

Ooh more great ideas, thank you!

The ABBA Voyage show is incredible. Worth every penny. Combine it with a nice meal somewhere.

Defo immersive guys and dolls. Get dressed up, loads of fun

Guys and Dolls looks fab! Can I ask if I went for seated tickets, do the seats in the stalls still have a good view? I'm just wondering if there are standing members of the audience, if they block the view of the stage? Thanks

The stalls seats are slightly elevated from the pit where people stand so viewing is fine - the action moves around the room. I'd say front row of the stalls gives the best of both worlds as you get to sit but still feel part of the more immersive bit

That's great thanks very much
