Help! Silver has turned yellow?

Does anyone know if it's possible to restore the bangles in the pic below to silver in colour? They are both sterling silver (hallmarked 925). They started out the right colour, but with daily wear (in and out of water, perfume, shower gel etc) they changed to this mix of silver/yellow.

I have tried silver polish, and the bicarbonate of soda/silver foil/vinegar/salt/boiling water mix and while both have shined them up, they don't seem to have restored the colour.

Have I damaged them beyond repair?

Sorry OP, but I don't think that your bangles are 925 silver - it looks like they were silver plated, and that plating has worn off.

Thanks, I think you might be right - fake hallmarked then I suppose.

Annoying as I bought them both on the same day at an antique shop, unlucky to buy 2 and neither be genuine 925!

Do you have a working jeweler near by? They may be able to advise .
What does the hallmark look like? How long have you had them? Would you consider going back to where you bought them?
(Also it's just tin foil bicarb and freshly boiled water. Only if there are no stones in jewelry, if stones do not do clean that way)

If it’s definitely silver it will clean up. You just haven’t polished it enough. Silver cleaning actually strips the oxidised silver off the surface and reveals the fresh silver underneath. I would get a silver cleaning cloth and try that.

I agree with the other poster who suggests they maybe fake.

Try soaking in full fat Coca-cola.

Or use white toothpaste and rub on with a soft tooth brush and buff off with a soft cloth.

Used to work with jewellery, silver plating is often done on brass, and that does look like brass with the plating worn off.

Proper sterling silver is not usually that hard to get clean.

You may be able to get them replated, it doesn't cost that much.
