Woke up yesterday leaned to grab slippers and went all dizzy/ clammy and sick
Originally thought maybe I moved too fast
Laid back down for a bit. Got up half an hour after and still felt dizzy.
Usually I'm the type to get up and crack on with stuff hoover and what not. I genuinely couldn't do any more than shower for 4 hours I felt a hit dizzy spaced out. Almost like a hangover ( don't drink and haven't for 20 years) so definitely not hangover.
Felt sick all day.
Nothing eaten different the last few days.
No temperature

But now I feel that drained feeling like after been ill. Weak and just not right.

If helps I'm mid 40s. Don't drink or smoke.

Vertigo is the most obvious one to me. There are movements you can perform to alleviate it, I'll have a look.

Postural hypotension?
Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

I always have low blood pressure naturally. I wonder if it's gone even lower ?

Do you have a carbon monoxide alarm?

Yes, something to be considered. Do you typically do anything for it?

I had an episode once and they told me to eat something salty, like this.

Maybe crisps?

They also said to pump your feet when you're about to stand up to get the blood flowing to your head before you start walking around.

Vestibular neuritis

Wonkywinky · 10/08/2024 23:07

Odd type of migraine maybe.
Has happened to me a few times and I'm sure that's what it is

Mybusyday · 10/08/2024 23:09

Pregnant??

NothingAGoodCuppaDoesntFix · 10/08/2024 23:51

Not pregnant.
Yes we have a co2 alarm .
Will eat something salty don't generally do anything for low BP as it doesn't cause me any issues usually

I would call GP on Monday, OP, but check in with 111 if you start to feel worse before then.
Hope this resolves easily for you.

mytuppennyworth · 11/08/2024 00:40

sounds like vertigo but be VERY careful with the epley manouvre. If you do it on the wrong side it makes it a LOT worse. You have to be 100% sure which side is effected.

User3456 · 11/08/2024 00:41

Labyrinthitis/vertigo?
Can be caused by a virus (worth doing a covid test to rule that out, that can also cause dizziness/vertigo)
Phone 111 to get assessed
Rest up fully before trying to return to usual activities
Hope you feel better soon 💐

Tumbleweed101 · 11/08/2024 00:41

I’d think checking blood pressure would be first but if not that perhaps a diabetes check?

The epeley manoeuvre helps by moving any crystals that are in your ear. If you don't have these crystals, if won't help. M
The dizziness you get on this case is a sensation of the room spinning, rather than wooziness.
